On March 29th, 2011, Me Yves Letellier was designated as the Western Québec School Board’s Student Ombudsman.
As outlined in the School Board’s By-law Establishing Procedures for the Examination of Complaints, a student or parents of a student, if dissatisfied with the examination of a complaint or its outcome, may apply to the Student Ombudsman, who will then give the Council of Commissioners an opinion on the merits of the complaint and recommend any appropriate corrective pleasures.

Tel qu’indiqué dans le Règlement établissant la procédure d’examen des plaintes de la commission scolaire, un(e) élève ou ses parents, s’ils sont insatisfait de l’examen de la plainte ou du résultat de cet examen, peuvent s’adresser au protecteur de l’élève, lequel fournira son opinion quand au mérite de la plainte au Conseil des commissaires et recommandera des correctifs appropriés.
