Western Québec School Board proud partner in the 45th edition of Les Jeux du Québec

Western Québec School Board is proud to be associated with the upcoming 45th edition of Les Jeux du Québec that will take place in Gatineau from July 29th to August 6th 2010. Our Board will be providing shelter and accommodations to three (3) official delegations  comprising of a total of approximately 350 people, who will be using the Philemon Wright and Hadley High Schools’ facilities during the games.

On October 16th, all of the Games’ education partners gathered at Heritage College for the official signing of the partnership agreements that will give access to facilities required to lodge and feed 4000 athletes and hundreds of representatives and officials from across the Province.

The signing of these agreements was the result of months of discussions and negotiations between the Organizing Committee and the different education partners involved. At the Press Conference that covered the official signing ceremony, the Director General of the Organizing Committee, Marie-Hélène St-Onge highlighted the importance of the participation of the education sector in these games and stated that these games will be a great opportunity to mobilize our entire community behind a common goal.
