Guidance

Kelly Butler is the Guidance Oriented Approach to Learning (GOAL) Consultant. GOAL is an integral part of the QEP supporting the three aims: empowerment, construction of world view and construction of students identity. These aims give students the opportunity to acquire a broad range of fundamental skills associated with understanding the world outside of the classroom, personal development, socialization and academic success. The GOAL concept reinforces relevant, experiential and reflective activities within a project that links an individual's personal development to related careers and reality of the outside world.

Kelly helps teachers to understand and deliver the QEP using a GOAL perspective, as well as motivating and engaging students, helping them to relate what they learn in school to themselves, the world of work, their families and their community.
