distance education

A consortium of four school boards provides Distance Education Services:

• Eastern Townships School Board
• New Frontiers School Board
• Riverside School Board
• Western Québec School Board

Registration:

Anyone who is 16 years of age or older, lives in Québec, and has not obtained a DES (High School Leaving) from Québec or who needs required courses for CEGEP or a DEP, may enroll in Distance Education Courses.

Students may register 12 months a year. Please call 1.877.463.3775 or 450.263.9710 for an appointment to register and arrange placement tests.

Service Fees:

Service fees are required for registration ($25), placement tests in English, Math and French ($25 each), career counseling ($25). Students are responsible for shipping charges. All fees specified are in effect as of July 1, 1999 and are subject to change without notice. Fees are not reimbursable for any reason.

Other Information:

Students may contact their tutor either by phone or in person. The maximum time allowed for completing a course is six months. Credits are granted in accordance with procedures established by the Québec Ministry of Education (MEQ)
