Help deskHow to use “Serge’s Problem Catcher” for reporting a problem or request for service to the technology department. You have a new icon on your desktop “Report a Problem” To access the software: double click on the icon, and then click on “Reporting a Problem”. Click on the first tab and fill out the electronic form on the screen. Don’t forget to click the” save” button. The software inserts the date and time automatically when you save. After you “save”, click “close”. You can use the tab “Who’s Next to view all requests and where your request is on the list. When the problem is solved or the task is completed your request will be removed from the “Whose Next” screen and will become part of a history file that can be searched In the case of an emergency or an update that must be installed to continue a task. Always enter you request in “Serge’s Problem Catcher”. If your computer is not working use another one in your department. If it is an emergency or an important request call Paul Camus at extension 365 or Greg at extension 326. If someone in administration at a school has a request or problem that must be solved by one of the technicians at the board office you must complete “Serge’s Problem Catcher”. (For example a problem accessing Dofin or Paie.) If this is an emergency you must complete the required information on “Serge’s Problem Catcher” then contact Paul at extension 365 or Greg at extension 326.
