Q. How is my salary classification determined ?
- By recognizing your schooling and teaching experience.
Q. Can I teach in Quebec with teaching qualifications obtained in another Province ?
- Yes because there's an agreement between provinces.
Q. Why is this school year not included in my seniority declared?
- As per the collective agreement the accumulated seniority is always recognized as of the previous June 30th.

Q. When will I get a full pension ( 70% ) ?
- Only after 35 years of services.
Can I retire at age 55?
- Yes but with a reduced pension.
Q. Can I get a pension estimate ?
- By sending a pension estimate form with a projected date of retirement to CARRA. Group Insurance

Q. Are there different types of health insurance plans available?
- Individual, single-parent or family coverage plans are available to all eligible employees. Teachers also have the option of a plan for couples.
Q. Is the long-term disability plan compulsory?
- It is compulsory for eligible support staff (premiums are payable by the Board), management, professionals and regular teachers, and is an option for contract teachers. However, under certain conditions, a regular teacher may be exempted from the plan. Workers' Compensation (CSST)
Q. I've been absent from work due to a work-related injury. Am I entitled to any benefits?
- If the absence extends beyond the day of the work-related accident, you may be entitled to compensation Salary Insurance
Q. My doctor has recommended a month off work due to illness. How will I be paid?

This depends entirely on how many days are remaining in your bank of moneyable and non-moneyable sick leave and on the waiting period as outlined in your respective collective agreement.
