SEAC - special education advisory committee

What is SEAC?

SEAC is an advisory committee of the Western Québec School Board. Its mandate is to advise the school board regarding the Special Education Policy and the allocation of financial resources for delivery of services. It may also advise on the implementation of an individual student IEP (Individual Education Plan) and make recommendations to the board if needed.

Who are the committee members?

Parents of students with an IEP, representatives from the Management Team, School Board Administration, Professionals, and local health institutions make up the committee.

2011-2012

Meetings are held in the Council chambers of the WQSB offices located at 15 Katimavik Street, Gatineau, Québec from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. and are open to any parents of any student with an IEP.

  • May 7 - Literacy:  how to assist your child to develop stronger, meaningful literacy skills – Dreena Santerre, Perseverence Scolaire Literacy teacher
