Enrolment Process

Schedule for 2010-2011 registrations:

Are you aware English Language Education  is available in Quebec?

The Western Québec School Board provides English-language education to eligible students in the Outaouais and Abitibi-Témiscaminque regions.

Committed to academic excellence and the development of life-long learners, Western Québec provides quality education in 19 elementary schools, 12 high schools and 5 adult education and vocational training centres.

Our schools offer a diverse range of programs, including pre-kindergarten, Kindergarten and French Immersion (urban core of Gatineau), Work Skills training, Homework Assistance and Extracurricular activities.

Parents of students NEW to the WQSB school system may register their child(ren) at their catchment area school listed below.

To register your child for pre-kindergarten he or she must be 4 years of age before October 1, 2010. To register your child for kindergarten he or she must be 5 years of age before October 1, 2010.

Please bring the following documents to register your child:

  1. Child’s long form birth certificate,
  2. Proof of parent’s Canadian Citizenship,
  3. Proof of Quebec residency
  4. Proof of parent’s or older sibling’s English Elementary Education in Canada,
  5. Most current report card for Elementary or High School registrants.

If you are unable to register on these dates you must call the school to make an appointment.

Parents are strongly encouraged to register during this period.  Late registration may result in delays for school entry and/or providing transportation.
